Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2008
Here is my 2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional. The guitar has a mahogany body and is capped with a two-piece ripple flame maple top. There are Kluson style tuners, 57 Classic pickups, and an unchambered body. The guitar is actually based on the Les Paul models released in the ’80s and ’90's, rather than trying to emulate any sort of ’50s vibe. The timber is very attractive, and is finished in a nitocellulose lacquer. The thinner finish helps the timber ‘breathe’ and age. My guitar has a 50s style round neck, which is thicker than the 60s neck. It took a bit oif getting used to at first, as I was used to my 60s SG neck, however it plays very nicely although not quite as easy as a thinner 60s neck.
